Montréal Casino & Hotel

Île Notre-Dame, Montréal, Québec, Canada

Montréal Casino & Hotel is a complex on Île Notre-Dame, housed in pavilions built for the world exposition that the city held on the island. Alongside its hotel it holds restaurants, bars and a hall used for live programming. The gaming floor is not described anywhere on this site.

Île Notre-Dame is an artificial island in the Saint Lawrence, reached by bridge or by the Jean-Drapeau metro station and a short bus ride. Parc Jean-Drapeau, the rowing basin and the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve share the island. Cars arrive at a signed entrance on the island road.

The main building is the former French pavilion, a faceted structure whose angled walls and tall central void remain visible from inside. Later work links it to neighbouring pavilion space. Restaurants sit at different levels, and windows on the upper floors look back across the water to the city.

The island is quiet at night and public transport thins out, so plan the return trip. Restaurants and the performance hall each keep their own schedule. Entry to parts of the complex is age-restricted, so check the operator's current rules before travelling.

Fallsview Casino Resort

Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

Fallsview Casino Resort is a large complex built into the slope above the Niagara gorge. It combines a hotel with restaurants, retail galleries, a spa and a theatre used for concerts and touring shows. The gaming floor is not described anywhere on this site.

The site is on Fallsview Boulevard in Niagara Falls, Ontario, on the escarpment overlooking the Horseshoe Falls. Queen Victoria Park lies below, and the tourist strip on Clifton Hill is close. Walkways and lifts connect the resort down to street level.

Because the building steps down the hillside, its levels are stacked rather than spread, and internal walkways carry visitors between them. Public galleries run past shops and restaurants. Windows on the upper floors face the falls, and the theatre sits within the same complex.

Sightlines towards the falls depend on the floor and on the side of the building. The theatre programme is sold separately from accommodation. Parts of the complex are age-restricted, and the surrounding streets stay busy through the summer.

River Rock Casino Resort

Richmond, British Columbia, Canada

River Rock Casino Resort stands beside the water in Richmond, British Columbia. The complex holds a hotel, restaurants, a show theatre and a spa, together with moorage along its river frontage. The gaming floor is not described anywhere on this site.

The resort sits on the north arm of the Fraser River, close to Vancouver International Airport and a short ride from central Vancouver on the Canada Line. Bridgeport station stands next to the site. A quay and boardwalk run along the river edge.

Buildings are grouped around arrival courts and parking rather than a street front, and the hotel tower stands apart from the lower halls. The theatre is a flat-floor room used for concerts and events. Restaurants face inward, while the walkway and moorage face the water.

Aircraft use the approach nearby, and river-facing rooms differ from those over the courts. Theatre nights change traffic around the site. Parts of the complex are age-restricted, and shuttle arrangements to the airport should be confirmed rather than assumed.

04

Casino Rama Resort

Rama, Ontario, Canada

Casino Rama Resort sits on the lands of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation in central Ontario. The resort takes in a hotel, restaurants, a spa, a golf course and an entertainment hall. The gaming floor is not described anywhere on this site.

Rama lies east of Orillia, between Lake Couchiching and Lake Simcoe, in open country reached mainly by road. The setting is rural, with woodland and shoreline nearby rather than a town centre. Parking sits directly beside the entrances, and arrival is almost always by car.

The complex is low and spread out, with hotel wings linked to the halls by internal corridors. The entertainment hall is a large seated venue used for touring acts. Restaurants line the main concourse, and the golf course occupies land a short drive from the main buildings.

This is a car-based destination, and distances between the buildings and the course are real. Programming at the hall and the season of the golf course both vary. Parts of the complex are age-restricted, so check the operator's current rules before planning a visit.
