Art Hotels
Six hotels where the building, the interiors and the works on display are as much the point as the rooms themselves.

A clear guide to eighteen hotels across four very different categories.
Independent, plainly written, and kept up to date.
The guide is split into four groups of hotels that have very little in common with one another. Art hotels are read through their buildings, capsule houses through their berths, the Canadian resorts through their halls and grounds, and the northern properties through ice, snow and glass.

Every entry follows the same shape: what the hotel is, where it stands, what the place is like inside, and what is worth asking before you go. Descriptions come from open sources and are written plainly.
No prices, no star ratings, no room counts, no reviews and no booking. Nothing on this site is sold, and no link here earns the guide anything. Hotels are described, never ranked against each other.
Entries carry the month they were last checked. When a building changes hands, closes a wing or reopens a room, the entry is rewritten rather than patched. Anything that cannot be confirmed is left out.
Buildings change faster than the pages that describe them, and a short note from someone who has been there is the fastest way to fix an entry.
